WHO WE ARE

Inside Morricone

A transformative concert experience that transcends mere tribute, offering audiences an intimate journey through the most iconic soundscapes in cinematic history, performed by artists with direct ties to the Maestro’s legacy.
The Vision

Beyond the Ordinary Tax

Inside Morricone represents a fundamentally different approach to celebrating one of cinema’s greatest composers. Where conventional tribute concerts often reduce the Maestro’s profound musical language to mere background accompaniment, our production places his compositional genius at the very heart of the theatrical experience.

The challenge was never simply to perform Morricone’s music—it was to pay homage to him in a way that reveals new emotional depths while respecting the integrity of his original vision. Through meticulous arrangements created specifically for this production and the participation of artists who collaborated directly with Ennio Morricone, we offer audiences something truly rare: an authentic continuation of his artistic legacy.

This production was awarded the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic in 2017—a recognition reserved for cultural initiatives of exceptional merit and national significance.

THE EXPERIENCE

A Journey Through the History of Cinema

Narrative Arc

The concert follows a carefully constructed dramatic structure, guided by Maestro Andrea Albertini, who not only conducts but also tells the stories behind these immortal compositions. Each piece is contextualized within the trajectory of Morricone’s career, revealing the creative circumstances and human stories that shaped these musical masterpieces.

Authentic Interpretation

Our special guest, soprano Susanna Rigacci, brings an unparalleled authenticity to the performance. As a historic voice of Ennio Morricone’s concert tours, her interpretations bear the direct imprint of the Maestro’s artistic direction. This connection to the original source is irreplaceable and impossible to replicate.

Excellence of the Ensemble

The Ensemble Le Muse—an elite all-female orchestra that represented Italian musical excellence at the inauguration of the Italian Presidency of the EU—performs arrangements created specifically for this production. Their virtuosity and sensitivity to Morricone’s musical language guarantee performances of the highest caliber.

Emotional Journey
>From the iconic tension of Sergio Leone’s westerns to the ethereal spirituality of The Mission and the nostalgic warmth of Cinema Paradiso, the concert unfolds through a crescendo of emotions—creating an atmosphere of serene nostalgia that transports audiences back to a time when cinema and its music were pure magic.
Awards

Institutional Excellence

In 2017, Inside Morricone received the extraordinary distinction of the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic—an honor reserved for cultural initiatives of exceptional merit and national significance. This recognition was conferred during a prestigious concert at the Mohamed V Theatre in Rabat, Morocco, where the production represented Italian cultural excellence on the international stage.

The Ensemble Le Muse has similarly been chosen to represent Italy at moments of the highest diplomatic and cultural significance, including the inauguration of the Italian Presidency of the European Union with concerts in Ankara and Istanbul, and at the Italian Pavilion during EXPO Milan 2015.

These institutional recognitions reflect not only the artistic quality of the production but also its ability to serve as a vehicle for cultural diplomacy—making it particularly suited to international festivals, cultural exchanges, and prestigious programming contexts.
